FMOS 2025 Research Conference Recap

Where Finance, Marketing, and Operations Unite for Sustainable Business
Over 200 academics, practitioners, and young researchers from more than 30 countries convened—in avatar form—in the Metaverse and video streaming on June 13–14, 2025 for the 3rd edition of FMOS Research Conference, organized by the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. Together, they exchanged breakthrough ideas, showcased cutting-edge research, and charted new pathways toward more sustainable business models and practices.

An Immersive Metaverse Gathering

For the second consecutive year, FMOS capitalized on the Metaverse’s immersive capabilities. Participants:
Navigated virtual auditoriums,
complete with real-time Q&A.
Networked in avatar-led lounges,
sparking informal conversations that crossed time zones.
Explored a dynamic poster hall,
where interactive panels brought emerging research projects to life.
This digital staging demonstrated how virtual environments can democratize access, reduce travel-related emissions, and foster truly global collaboration.
