Safety, Security & Risk Management 2024 conference Recap
On November 29–30, 2024, the Safety, Security & Risk Management (SSRM) Conference was hosted by the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland (AUS). This virtual event brought together researchers, academics, and professionals from across the globe to share knowledge, present research, and discuss key developments in safety, security, and risk management.

With a well-structured program of keynote speeches and research presentations, SSSRM 2024 provided a collaborative platform for addressing some of today’s most critical challenges in these fields.

Highlights from SSRM 2024

The conference opened with a warm welcome from Giuseppe Catenazzo, Head of Research of AUS and organizer of the SSRM conference, who emphasized the importance of fostering connections between research and real-world application. The diverse lineup of speakers and participants reflected this goal, as individuals from Switzerland, Poland, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Morocco, and beyond came together to share their insights.

Collaboration across borders
The conference also fostered connections between participants, with panel discussions and Q&A sessions giving everyone a chance to engage with ideas beyond their own specialties. The event’s success was a team effort, with session chairs such as Małgorzata Żmigrodzka, Ramesh Roshan Das Guru, Stefania Denise Escobar, Giovanna Bagnato, Seda Çeken, and Vedran Milojica guiding the discussions seamlessly.
