Updates from our Research Team

In academia, recognition and collaboration are vital for progress and innovation. At the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, we are proud of our researchers' achievements and their dedication to advancing knowledge. We are excited to share updates from our research team, showcasing their successes and commitment to global collaboration.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Giuseppe Catenazzo, our Head of Research, on his recent appointment to the editorial team of the esteemed Journal of Tourism and Hospitality Management. This journal, indexed in Scopus Q2, holds a distinguished status in the academic community, and Dr. Catenazzo's inclusion in its editorial board is a testament to his outstanding expertise and dedication. Representing the American Institute of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, Dr. Catenazzo's appointment not only honors his achievements but also underscores his invaluable contributions to the field of tourism and hospitality.

Moreover, we are delighted to announce that Dr. Aleksandra Zając, a valued member of our research team, has been selected to participate in the mentoring program of ECREA's Political Communication Section for the term 2024-2025. This prestigious program, facilitated by the European Communication Research and Education Association, offers a platform for young scholars to enhance their research skills and expand their professional networks through international collaborations. Dr. Zając will have the opportunity to work closely with Prof. Imke Henkel from Birkbeck, University of London, as part of this enriching experience. We are confident that Dr. Zając's involvement in this program will further elevate her scholarly pursuits and foster meaningful connections across borders.

Furthermore, Dr. Zając’s contributions to academia extend beyond her participation in mentoring programs. She recently authored three encyclopedia entries on crucial topics related to national security in the Encyclopedia of National Security, coordinated by the Military University of Technology in Poland. With 700 entries authored by 217 contributors, this comprehensive resource serves as a testament to Dr. Zając’s expertise in the field and her dedication to advancing knowledge on critical security issues.
Additionally, Dr. Zając has co-authored a scientific paper titled "The Police and Society in Poland: The Road to Social Acceptance," published in the Journal of Modern Science at the end of 2023. This insightful study delves into the complex dynamics between law enforcement agencies and society, offering valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners alike. We encourage all interested individuals to access and explore this interesting piece.

As we celebrate these achievements and milestones, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within our research community. We look forward to witnessing further accomplishments from our talented team members and the impactful contributions they will continue to make to their respective fields. Stay tuned for more updates on our ongoing research endeavors and collaborations.
