FMOS 2024 Research Conference

At the crossroads of Finance, Marketing, and Operations for Sustainable Business

2nd Edition / 7th - 8th June 2024
FMOS 2024 is the second edition of our conference on Finance, Marketing, and Operations for Sustainable Business. FMOS 2024 gathers researchers, especially the forthcoming generation of scholars, and helps them disseminate their works on sustainability at the crossroads of finance, marketing, and operations. A fantastic occasion to meet and share ideas to shape a more sustainable business.

The conference will take place online from the 7th to the 8th of June, 2024. During the two days, presenters will share their work; renowned keynote speakers and other scientific events for young and more advanced scholars will also be held.

Keynote speakers

  • Dr. Denis ROCHAT

    Dr. Denis Rochat has thirty years of experience in Marketing Research at Nielsen, a world leader, where he was the Managing Director for Benelux, i.e. Belgium-The Netherlands-Luxembourg. More recently, he has founded and is the Chief Executive Officer of 7Mind7, a Belgian consulting company. Next, he is a lecturer for executive education at HEG Geneva - University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland, at EDHEC Business School, a leading French Grande École in Paris and Lille, and the Free University of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles) in Belgium. Dr Rochat received his PhD in Economics and Management at the Université of Paris Cergy in France, an Advanced Master’s in Economics and Quantitative Economics, and a Master’s in Economics at the Free University of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles) in Belgium.

  • Dr. Mohamed Amine ISSAMI

    Professor Mohamed Amine Issami is a professor-researcher at the ISCAE Group, attached to the Finance and Accounting Department. He holds a Habilitation to direct research in Management Sciences and a PhD in Economic Sciences, Money-Finance-Banking option. As of April 2019, Professor Mohamed Amine Issami will take up the post of Director in charge of Development, International Relations and Communication at the ISCAE Group. He is a former senior researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Zürich (ETH Zurich) and taught at IMD Lausanne as part of the MBA programme. In 2018, Professor Mohamed Amine ISSAMI won the Best Paper Award at the ICTO Conference in Paris Nanterre, published by Springer, and his course "Portfolio Management" is listed as an accredited syllabus by Bloomberg for Education, New York. Professor Mohamed Amine Issami is a member of the reading committee of the American Journal of Operations Management and Information Systems and the Business Review of the IUG in Geneva. He is accredited by the CNAM INTEC Paris.

  • Dr. Domenico Viti

    Dr. Domenico Viti, Chair of Agri-Food Law at University of Foggia. Focus of research are comparative studies on the sustainable management of the food chain. Past President of the Apulian branch of the environmental and national heritage preservation association Italia Nostra.

  • Dr. Barbara Czyżewska

    Originally from Poland and educated in the UK, Dr. Barbara Czyżewska moved to Switzerland to head the Luxury Brand Strategy Specialization in Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland. She is also an independent luxury hospitality consultant and highly qualified learning and development specialist. She is a speaker and a published author of ‘The Story of Hilton Hotels" and several articles about luxury guest experiences. Expert in user experience design, luxury communication and buyer behaviour, she advises companies on creating unique customer experiences.

  • Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh Kaurav

    Professor Dr. Rahul Pratap Singh Kaurav is an Associate Professor with the FORE School of Management (FSM), New Delhi, India, where he is responsible for teaching, training, research, consultancy, and external communication and branding. His teaching and research interests include Marketing Management, Services Marketing, Research Methodology, Marketing Research, Marketing Analytics, and Tourism Marketing. He is a professionally acquired trainer for quantitative and qualitative research software. He has published 48 research papers in national and international journals of repute, 14 full papers as chapters in edited books, and more than 22 research papers in conference proceedings. He had Contractual Assignments with the online program of the University of Liverpool, UK, as a DBA thesis supervisor. He is also associated with the BITS-Pilani, India and Taylor’s University, Malaysia, as an adjunct faculty member.

  • Dr. Sajal Kabiraj

    Dr. Kabiraj is presently employed at the School of Business, Design and Technology at Häme University of Applied Sciences (HAMK), Finland. Through his teaching career in China as a tenured Full Professor and elsewhere, he has been awarded the Best Teacher Awards in 2008, 2011, 2014, and 2018 for academic research and teaching excellence. He has supervised theses at the postgraduate level, including MBA, MSc, and Doctoral students. He is a Ph.D. supervisor and examiner. He has strong international practice area and research experience in multinational corporations.


    Dr. Kabiraj serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at United Nations University-CRIS within the Regions and Cities Governance Lab (Re-LAB). At UNU-CRIS his research primarily focusses on strategic negotiations and sustainability for EU’s Future Governance at various levels. The research focuses on the question of how regional organisations, in collaboration with other societal actors, can contribute to the substance and ethical forms of transnational governance mechanisms and sustainable development as defined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research seeks to examine the interaction and reciprocal effects between regional organisations and the multilateral system. In addition to active publishing, he likes to be active in collaboration with societal stakeholders and create societal impact.


    He received the Outstanding Contribution Award for Research and Teaching from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Dalian, PR China in 2018. He has been awarded the highest honor to foreign

    experts “Xinghai Friendship Award 2015” by the Mayor of Dalian City, Dalian Municipal Government, PR China. Initiated in 1996, the Xinghai Friendship Award is the city’s highest honor for achievement by a foreigner in education, economic and social development.

  • Dr. K. Mathiyazhagan
    Dr. K. Mathiyazhagan is the Chairperson of the Research Centre and Associate Professor at Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, holds esteemed editorial positions in leading journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change (Elsevier), Business Strategy and the Environment (Wiley), Management Decision (Emerald), and Environment, Development and Sustainability Journal (Springer). He has guest edited special issues for renowned publications including Journal of Business Logistics (JBL), International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management (IJPDLM), and International Journal of Logistics Management (IJLM). Dr. Mathiyazhagan's contributions have earned him recognition among the Top 2% of scientists according to Stanford’s list and numerous research citations, with one paper receiving the Excellence Citation Award from Emerald Publisher Ltd. He is actively involved in editing international books for Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, and Springer publishers, and has been invited for research collaborations and workshops globally. With a focus on Green and Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Multi-Criteria Decision Making, and Lean Six Sigma, Dr. Mathiyazhagan continues to drive impactful research and academic initiatives, including receiving grants for conducting Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) on topics like Six Sigma in Quality Management and Circular Economy. He also serves as a visiting faculty at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy.
